This is the scene that got me to marathon. I was checking my files to see they were functional and I came across this. I have no fucking clue what is going on as this is episode 11 but askdkfgjrkjkfghfjgh!!!!!! Also, their chemistry is beyond insane. They have to end up together. Pls pls pls show. I mean, I am a huge Yoon Sang Hyun fangirl but there is no question which way I ship here, sorry, YSH! I mean, the hand-kissing OMFG OMFG.

Now, let's backtrack to ep 1. I just started I Hear Your Voice and I approve. Also, Soo Ha is angsty, badass and with a strong right-and-wrong streak. What’s not to love?

OMG, I loled so hard at the scene of her doing her canned defense speech. Heh. I love her already. Also, what did you do to my smexy Yoon Sang Hyun, drama? Why does he look like a blind person cut his hair in the dark and his eyeglasses were stolen from a Harry Potter exhibit? Not to mention that expression. Good Lord. I mean, normally the dude makes me RAWR…I mean, LJS and LBY already have awesome chemistry, they don’t need help in making YSH the uber-dork.

"I will protect you." Oh God. Oh my God. He has learned how to fight so he can protect her if she needs it, right? My God. Also, what is their age difference? From the flashbacks, she appears to be 14 or so and he is what - 8? I am bad with kid ages.
As you can tell, I have just finished the first episode of I Hear Your Voice and it’s love. It had a mix of heart, humor and plot which seems effortless but as many a failed drama demonstrate, is very hard to achieve. The law stuff is completely ridiculously wrong, but then that is true about most American legal shows - at least with a Korean one, I can pretend that their legal system really does function that way as I am not too familiar with it. Ultimately, a story works for me when its internal world is interesting and consistent, even when it may not match with the ‘real’ world. And the world of IHYV is pretty irresistible.
One comment about Lee Jong Suk - I’ve seen comments that he looks weird. I agree that he doesn’t look like your usual kdrama leading man, but I actually like it. Too many cookie-cutter actors in kdramaworld already. But then I’ve loved him in both Secret Garden (I am very amused that in SG he was in love with Yoon Sang Hyun, and here he is after YSH’s girl) and School 2013. Actually, he reminds me a bit of Kim Jae Won (a huge fave of mine), in both looks and vibe.

Prettiness...

I was planning to only watch ep 1 of I Hear Your Voice and then to catch up with The Blade and the Petal but it turns out IHYV is like lay pringles - you can’t have just one. So currently, I am mainlining ep 2. The scene where Soo Ha finally sees her again and she doesn’t notice, too busy thinking about her case - my God, how was it ever supposed to be anything but Soo Ha/Hye Sung? Lee Jung Suk has such expressive eyes and in this scene, he looks at her as if he…worships her. I know, I know that is such an overblown word but there really isn’t a lesser one that would fit here. Because I do think he worships her. Stick a fork in me. I am done.

asjskdkfjdkfhfhhff when he holds her up to prevent her from falling and then his giddiness at that brief contact and just - their chemistry is out of this world insane. OTP!!!!

Oh God, the cuteness!

I love how good Soo Ha is. He is just such a good person and it's so refreshing to see this.

I love the trajectory of their interactions throughout ep 2 - he went from idealizing her to being crushed by what she really is to being proud of her again (but this pride is based on a view of her based in reality, this time.) He really brings out her best self, doesn’t he? Also, their chemistry continues to be mind-blowing. And when he picked her over his shoulder caveman-style…well…I do believe I may have gotten hormonal :P

Sleep, what’s that? I have IHYV to mainline after all…They are about the most adorable squishable darling thing ever. I am dreading the killer gunning for Hye Sung because I want this drama to be 18 episodes of smoochies and bickering and Hye Sung becoming an awesome PD with the help of Soo Ha’s mind-reading skills. I just want puppies and rainbows for my rainbow puppies…

Seriously, this drama is crack. Crack, I tell you!
If you know me, you know I have a highly complicated relationship with noona romances - I loved Faith like there was no tomorrow, Majo No Jouken is one of my favorite jdramas and dramas like Hello Teacher elicited a ton of squee. But a lot of times, the noona romances seem too weird because I just don’t see the chemistry or it feels too gimmicky. But this? Oh God, this is perfect
