OMG, Monstar is so cute!!! I am in love. It's been months since I went for a cute drama. Caps to come...
Anyone watching?
Also, I am loving the soundtrack...
ETA: There is a tough girl named Kim Nana in this who is an awesome fighter and whose boyfriend is an "impressive guy." Heeeee, I love you, drama!
ETA2: You know, this makes me think of a manga adaptation, though it isn't one and has more of a vibe of a Japanese drama than a Korean one - like a much more mainstream Kingyo Club (OK, the stories are nothing alike, but the visuals make me think of it).
ETA3: One of the things that this drama has going for it is the immense likeability of its leads (they are not winning the Baeksang any time soon, but their roles are not incredibly complex - a hot-tempered young idol on the edge of frustration and a very oddball songwriting girl, both with the requisite-for-kdrama childhood issues - and they try hard), as well as the lack of narrative clutter. Plotwise, it is probably most similar to Dream High 2, but it gets right (so far) what DH2 got so horribly wrong - these characters feel like real people and not just that, but people you root for. It's not in the Shut Up Flower Boy Band territory (because no other high school drama is going to achieve that pinnacle of perfection as far as I am concerned), but its mellow indie vibe, while nowhere near as strong as the one in What's Up (yes, I realize WU was a college drama) makes it, to me, superior to Dream High or the kdrama takes on Hana Kimi or Mischievous Kiss. And I never did love School 2013 as much as everyone else because I need a little romance in my school drama :)
So basically, yeah, so far it's love.
