Loved ep 14 but am sooooo mad at Do Jin! WTF is with not giving Yi Soo a choice whether your 'horrible past' (which must be a cultural thing because to me it wouldn't even be a blip) is something she can or can't deal with. She is 30+, not dewy 17! Please allow her to exercise her own volition and judgment! GRRRRR. Look, I love the 'noble idiot' thing but only when by doing so, the doer prevents awful harm to the other party (to use the writer's other drama as an example, I get when Ra Im breaks Joo Won's heart so brutally because if she doesn't make him leave her, his mother will take everything away from him - and even there I thought she should have explained everything but at least I get her logic and am not mad at her). It's not as if someone is going to break Yi Soo's legs if she stays with Do Jin or she is going to get ostracized by society. I mean - who outside their immediate circle is even going to know? It's not as if someone is going to stop by Do Jin's house with a brand sometime next week to plant a giant "A" on his face. Seriously.
I loved it when she lit into him because she has every right and I do NOT want her to try to get him to change his mind (which luckily she doesn't look like she wants to do) - the man broke through her walls and trust issues only to break her heart! I hope he has plenty of time to experience full well what it's like to be without her and has to work to win her back! Meanwhile she can help Dong Hyub (who is awesome) to get his life on track.
I loved Tae San and Yi Soo's friendship in this ep btw. Oh, and Colin's actor is gorgeous and a wonderful singer but he cannot act which is a huge problem - instead of coming across as someone seeking the truth of his heritage, he gives off a (surely unintentional) sociopath vibe. I get terrified he is going to start dismembering small animals any time he conveys 'news' with a blank stare.
Proper post and caps coming but wanted to get the rant out.
