Bridal Mask ep 19

I am traveling, so this is going to be shorter than usual. Consider it the highlights version...

Shunji is pretty much a full-blown monster now but I stopped being outraged by him - he has so far crossed the line, nothing he would do would surprise me. I am just terribly sad about the good man he was gone for good.

My favorite relationship except for KT/MD is Kang To with Damsari. I love seeing him accepted by the rebel leader, finding a father figure and inspiration and friend. The fact that he's Mok Dan's Daddy doesn't hurt.

This scene! This scene! They do not say a word and they barely touch but the chemistry and the love and the connection is so strong you can feel it crackling from the screen. It's somehow more intimate, the glances and the hand-holding, than a full-blown makeout scene.

I actually love that Kang To likes Shunji as little as Shunji likes him now - Shunji is a monster now, threatening all KT cares about, and I love that KT knows it (being tortured on Shunji's orders probably helped with that realization). Plus, their confrontations are a great dramatic fodder.

I loved the scene between KT and Rie, because I love when KT uses his brain and his...less cerebral attributes *ahem* to further his plans.

Shunji continues on his break from reality - he doesn't even seem to process he is the one who kills ahjumma and offers condolences, seemingly concerned about the troupe's mistreatment. You know, death is the best option for him now - not as revenge or even justice, but as mercy - can you imagine what his mind is like now and what it will be like once he has time to let go?

More Damsari and KT bonding.

KT is having a rotten time - the revolutionary lady died to protect him (oh, that scene!) and now he is being fired from the police for pretty much being a Korean. And with Konno gone (I loved Konno! No!), nobody is in his corner. That's quite a deal-changer, I wonder how this will work.
